Hello world! My name is Kelsey Belomy, and I am a junior in college. My super Italian family has always been obsessed with cooking, and their love of food has passed down to me.
Unfortunately, I have disgraced my Italian heritage by not being a good cook--yet.
My goal, via this lovely blog, is to become a better cook. That's my ultimate, end all goal: know how to make food without needing recipes.
Pretty lofty mission, right?
But I'm not too worried, because with my Italianness--love of food, zest for life, strong feelings (about everything)--comes a stubborn streak a mile wide. I will become a better cook, even if it takes me my entire life.
So that's all well and fine, but in the meantime, I can't be eating Top Ramen every day unless I want to die before I'm 40.
That being said, I'll be using this blog as a way to hone my cooking skills. I'll post easy, affordable, quick recipes from various websites and food magazines. I'll tell you how long they took me, how much everything cost, and--most important--all the things I did to mess up so that you won't make the same mistakes.
